Non-Directive Methods vs. Behavioral Methods for Children
Many professionals are non-directive in the approach.  Behavioral methods are directive, have been found more effective in sexually abused preschoolers.  A Treatment Study for Sexually Abused Preschool Children: Outcome During a One-year Follow-up, appears in the 1997 edition of Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, 36(9); Cohen & Mannarino.
